goths and football - a question for ramone
Posted: 06 Feb 2007, 13:20
by Quiff Boy
i'm curious as to how a staunch, season-ticket holding
everton fc fan like
ramone could ever bring himself to follow a band comprising of one
manchester united fan (eldritch, as was), one
liverpool fan (wayne) - a team who have been everton's arch enemies since the dawn of time - and one
leeds united fan (craig) - a team universally hated in the 80s
and then when the sisters split up back in '85, and he had a chance to cut his losses and run to follow a band that where more spiritually in tune with his own
blue nature (whoever that may be), he instead chose to follow the scouser and the leeds fan's new band
ramone mate, what were you thinking?

Other Goth & footie questions:
How can a man so proud of his adopted Leeds roots go on stage with a Man Utd scarf tied around his waist?
And why did that Budapest support band sub their Leeds player before they got anywhere near half-time?

By the way, the new Everton chant for Stevie Gerrard: (to the tune of
Monster by The Automatic: )
Who's that coming over your bird
Is it a gangster, is it a gangster?

because before he came to leeds he was a "southerner". and we all know that the majority of man utd fans come either from
daaarn saaaarf or from china
obviously all his time
oop north has now rubbed off and he's joined the leeds unfortuna.. sorry, the leeds
faithful at elland road
bless. he's probably just favouring lost causes these days

What's this about him joining our (
) sinking ship!??
He's not welcome. You can't just swap teams. He was a red therefore he'll always be tainted.

Gordon Strachan's the only one who's ever been allowed.

Whereas we've welcomed Denis Irwin, Joe Jordan, Gordon McQueen, Eric, and the Wobbly-Gobbed Tosser.
Leeds Are Our Feeder Club.
edit : almost forgot the terrace favourite Smiffy. Can't imagine why.

I've heard a rumour that Wise is that desperate for him that he's offered to pay Hartson the £2k a goal bonus
out of his own pocket.
Sad times.
Ps. I'm a better left back than Crainey.
Pps. Alan Sm*th no longer exists as a human being in my world.

Yeah - what's that all about?
I did see a video of 3 Sunderland players
roasting a young lady at the weekend.

Poor Stevie G - his bird is apparently hitting the powder and getting sorted out by some local gangster type...
(all this is just allegedly of course!)

Anyway, how can 'goths' like football in the first place?
I know I'd get totally paranoid with 20 or 30 thousand drunken hooligans
chanting 'Who's the w4nker in the black'??!!

I'd suggest you delete this post pretty quickly , the girl in question was 16 at the time, the guy who filmed it is in pretty deep s**t (although the sex was consented and legal) filming a girl under 18 isn't, the law was changed from 16 to 18 in 2003.

I'm still puzzled about a 3 way Roasting
,
and the use of the word "Lady"

That's tragic, man. Roll on Northampton away.

Ahhh, indeed a good question, Mr Quiffage. And as a 'staunch' Evertonian of many years now, I have had to suffer the slings and arrows of our 'cousins' from across the Park at Anfield. And one of these many hours of tedium we have had to suffer has been the celebrity fan base that Liverpool possesses. From Jimmy Tarbuck and Stan Boardman (Both homegrown salt of the earth types - so I'm told) through to Zoe Ball (Now a Man Utd fan) and That Guitarist - Born and bred in Bristol, making him an ideal candidate to wear the red of Liverpool.
But the allegiances of others has never been a bone of contention with Everton fans, we leave that petty narrow minded approach to the red half (?) of Liverpool.
As you pointed out Eldritch was and maybe still is a Red Devil ( And has probably been to Old Trafford as many times as the entire Bangkok arm of the supporters club). Craig , a proud Yorkshire man who stood on the terraces at Elland Road and Mr Lovelock who I have to admit has a fine shot on him ( as he blasted a few shots past me one time) sought grab some fo the impending fame and fortune and jump on the band wagon that was Liverpool F.C back in the 1970's.( He made a habit of doing that it seems!) So how could I like a band made up of so many elements and then choose to follow the 'wrong' team when the Sisters broke up? - Easy,The Sisterhood ( the Mish) actually made music I liked. The other Sisterhood -, were pants!
Like most teams in the league, Everton fans prefer to spend their time actually watching the game and take immense pleasure listening to fans of
'the Big Four' - bicker, moan, whinge and complain endlessly when the supposedly 'smaller clubs' play them and ..dare I say it..have the nerve to not lie down and curl up in a ball, but actually .... win!!

I didn't film the fcukin' thing.

The law's a bunch of arse anyway. A girl can consent to being brutally reamed in person, but if she flashes her bits to her boyfriend via camera phone/webcam it becomes kiddy porn? I'd ask what the world's coming to, but I'd probably rather not know.
