Just to compound Von's doubtless misery over the Classic Rock Magazine article "None More Black", the Sisters feature heavily in Dave Thompson's new book
"The Dark Reign of Gothic Rock: In The Reptile House with The Sisters Of Mercy, Bauhaus, and The Cure".
Nice photgraph on the cover of Von and Wayne circa '84.

;D :von:

But at this point in the Sisters' career I can't help thinking any publicity has got to be better than none.

got this book today.
the first things i noticed (and disappointed me) - why there is only one picture of The Sisters on the plates (in the same time for example 2 of The Nephilim) and when will people learn to write "THE Sisters Of Mercy" - i mean the chronology in the end of the book -
in the main text there is the correct name of the band.
but generally this book seems to be quite OK (sorry, have read maybe only 6-7 pages from different chapters by now).
seems to be quite objective and informative.
and the chronology of events, sessions and record releases (despite of this i said) is a great thing IMHO :notworthy:
well, it's only a paperback but it seems to be a good paperback.
(hope, it will not disappoint me after reading through.)

To reiterate the above - as the learned Pikkrong has mentioned - I REALLY hate to see "The" missing from anything in print about THE Sisters of Mercy - it really "Irks" me.

Next we will have to put up with just 'Cure / M****** / Strokes / Velvet Underground / Doors etc etc'

Or will it go full circle - The Pink Floyd - The Motorhead - The Type O Negative *shakes head in frustration*
