Anybody got any experience of them, we've got some money in the bank loosing value by the day, not being a natural gambler I don't want to invest in an Andalusian Guinea Pig farm or Bernard Mathews Turkeys, premium bonds seem like a good idea

And I thought it was about agents or glue..
Equity funds usually are the easiest way to get some money from shareholding. Well managed ones will do miracles while others may cost you everything.
Dirty buisness, all of it if you ask me.

Putting some of it into bank shares may be an idea. They might be inclined to treat you a bit better.

If you don't need instant access to your money you might want to think about putting it into something with a guaranteed return. Most banks and building societies do fixed rate bonds, anything from 3 months up to a few years.
I'm not a financial adviser but remember I'm in the business - give me a shout if I can be of any help.

My mother had the full whack of PB's and EVERY month for the 4 years she had them she won no less than £150 per month - that's (and forgive me as I only do Maths in the morning) £1800 per year. Most Bank/building soc bonds are about 5% gross which equates to about £1500 a year.
Most financial advisors say if you have the wherewithal buy £30000 of Premium Bonds. But that's a lot of money. Sons Numbers One and Two have had a £100's worth each for 4 years. SN1 has won diddly squat and SN2 has won two lots of £50. Gaz has got £5's worth...he's never gonna be able to keep me in the manner I am totally unaccustomed to
