Another track from Gary Marx's "1995 Sessions" - Open Season

I'm afraid I don't have any more info than that at this stage, but if Herr Marx does provide any more details, I'll let you know.

And on a related note:
Gary wrote:Currently trying to fit in mixing the other two remaining tunes between various other commitments.
He also hinted that he has "plans" for the complete set of 1995 recordings....

:von: :notworthy:

For those that don't have anything that can play ".rm" RealMedia files, there's a free player here: Real Alternative

Sounds like 9 while 9 meets This Corrosion.

Excellent song, it's a shame :von: never realized that Marx had a masterplan

Thanks!

This WOULD be excellent in full sisters mode, but I also think its worth as just a Gary Marx song is high as well.

I would pay real money for a full release, although one day when 1995 and nowhere is a cult hit, 'the heartland recordings' may be as rare and wonderful as that This Corrosion demo :D

Can't wait for Gary to get around to releasing this little lot.

Cheers QB :notworthy: :notworthy:

What the hell was Eldritch thinking? From what I've heard so far (3 tracks), this had the potential of being an absolutely storming Sisters album and, quite possibly, the best one yet. What a glimpse at what could've been.

Ah well, such is the life of a Sisters fan I suppose.

well, Sisters could play as Iron Maiden, with 3 guitars ;D

Someone sold a '1995 and Nowhere' Gary Marx cd on ebay recently - was it an official factory cd or a fan boot? Can't recall any info about it. Did anyone on Heartland buy it?

ahh, cool. he's managed to update his site 8)

he asked me to host it as a preview/temporary measure until he got it up on his own site.

me? i love it. the main guitar is 9 while 9ish, in that its snakey and repetitive, but i think its the best of the bunch so far. snarly bassline, instantly memorably singalong lyrics and a fab guitar hook. :von: :notworthy:

have you tried that "real alternative" player? its basically a version of "media player classic" with some RA codecs. nice and clean, lightweight and easy to remove afterwards ;)

real media plugin for winamp:

http://www.dailymp3software.com/files/ra.zip

unzip the file and drop the dll into the "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins" folder

worked for me :)

Any chance you could get him to grow his hair back? Or at least respond to PMs.

Or if you've got a linux machine handy you could use mplayer to dump it into a wav file and then use lame to encode it to mp3 for handy listening on your ipod. :innocent: :innocent: :innocent:

Mplayer is available for Mac (MacOS X is a Unix after all).

Check out http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html
or get it from Darwinports or Fink, if you use these repositories.

After a couple of listenings, it's definitely growing on me :D

Not being familiar with Mr Marx' post-Sisters work, I wasn't aware of what a great voice he has. :notworthy:

Its certainly a nice melody for von to work his magic on, though gary marx has such a nice voice.

What happened Andrew? did you go on a bender and lose Marks phone number or something?
