Okay, a sad thing just happened: Some Girls Wander By Mistake and A Slight Case Of Overbombing were added to my collection and there is really no more The Sisters Of Mercy releases to buy, except for the Body And Soul 12" which i intend to get.

So, i'm hooked, but there ain't no Sisters dope left. So, i started looking and found two interesting bands: The Merry Thoughts and Star Industry. The problem was and is that i was only able to find one CD: The Merry Thoughts - Psychocult.

So, if you have any other releases from these two bands i am willing to buy them if the price is reasonable.

No luck with those...

They only have the most recent releases for sale and the prices are way too high for my limited budget. It sucks to be a student...

I've got "Iron Dust Crush" from Star Industry - which contains their "hit single" Nineties (at least in Belgium it was a huge success at the so called gothic parties) + their first demo tracks. It says you can contact them by sending a mail to starindustry@geocities.com but it's quite doubtful if this still works as the cd is already 10 years old... I think you can contact the Belgian Alfa Matrix label too, as they recently offered me to do a second edition of the Alfa Matrix Festival in the club where I work (Kompas - Sint-Niklaas) featuring... Star Industry!

Hiya

I think I can help out here, being a Star Industry nut.

The band themselves are incredibley friendly. Their current email address can be found on the website, although I believe thats down at the moment. Right now the quickest and easiest way of getting hold of them is via Myspace,

clicky

In the past the have been very friendly and communicative towards me. I would not hestitate to pop your question to the boys themselves.

I am lucky enough to own everything they have put out, The New Millienium EP is available at Resurrection Records in London, as will the new album "last crusade" which is due out in the next few months.

Both of the old albums are hard to find sadly, my recomendation is that you go to your local independant record store and place a special order. Thats what I did and it came up trumps, with the limited version of the doubley rare first album.

Of the 2, Velvet is the supirior album, by a very long way. Its a wonderful album, from start to finish. Iron Dust Crush is really "for fans only" although it has nineties on it, which is a track for everyone. Even though ninties is a great track, go for velvet first.

I hope thats been helpful.

what he said! I only ever listen to Iron Dust Crush for Nineties...altough I see a remix of this is to be included on the 2disc version of the new CD.
