Men survive gruesome suicide attempt

Published on: 03/09/07

Two Atlanta men survived an attempt to kill themselves Friday by cutting off their arms with a circular saw, according to Atlanta Police Major Lane Hagin.

The men managed to sever three of their arms about six inches above the wrist, he said.

The two men — ages 40 and 41 — left a suicide note with the manager of their Atlanta apartment building saying they were committing suicide because their business had failed and they were recently diagnosed with HIV, Hagin said.

After reading the note, the manager called police who found the two men in their apartment with "a lot of blood," the major said.

Their names were not released. Police spokesman Steve Coleman said both were in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital late Friday and will undergo psychiatric evaluation.

No charges will be filed in the incident, police said.

My solution would be to each hold the circular saw between the legs/knees, but hey, that's just me

Wouldn't be too happy having looked through everything, touching all the blood covered stuff and then reading the note

Serbian vampire hunters prevent Milosevic come-back
Drive 3ft stake through dictator's black heart
Serbian vampire hunters have acted to prevent the very remote possibility that former dictator Slobodan Milosevic might stage a come-back - by driving a three-foot stake through his heart.

According to Ananova, the politically-motivated Van Helsings, led by Miroslav Milosevic (no relation), gave themselves up to cops after attacking the deceased despot in his grave in the eastern town of Pozarevac. Milosevic popped his clogs back in 2006, while on trial in a UN war crimes tribunal for various unsavoury activities connected with the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia.

Miroslav Milosevic said "he and his fellow vampire hunters acted to stop the former dictator returning from the dead to haunt the country". His team explained that the wooden stake had been "driven into the ground and through the late president's heart".

Slobodan Milosevic's Socialist Party of Serbia naturally condemned the desecration, while his daughter-in-law Milica Gajic said she "planned to sue the vampire hunters and accused the police of failing to protect the grave properly". ®

Now I'm no Sherlock Holmes but I am a carpenter and I suspect foul play.
Who held the circular saw to cut the last man's last hand off?It couldn't have been either of the two men as neither had any hands to hold it with.
Unless it was either a table saw or a cross cut/mitre(Combination) saw.
if any of you are thinking of following these men's example I would suggest either a Dewalt or Makita combination saw and not one of the s**t B&Q rubbish-they simply lack the power to cut cleanly through the bone and sinue.Another thing to think about is that the blood might clog them up so it might be worth investing in a vaccuum attachment and you don't want your suicide note getting messy and illegeble.Obviously you want to lay as much grief and guilt as possible on those left behind.

the things people do...

 To the above stories although I think people have gone mad in this world, well here in Holland anyway. The last two weeks the news has been about three different families in Holland, one family in Belgium, where the parents or adults if you wish are killing themselves for whatever reasons but they are also killing their children too. One case the man first kills his mother-in-law and then takes his two sons and himself and stand before an on-coming train. Apparently he & his wife were going to be getting divorced!
The other family took an overdose, even the family dog was involved, to kill themselves, however the father survived the suicide attempt but is now facing three murder charges! Their problem seemed to have been debt.

Words cannot describe how angry I get as since when do parents take their own childrens lives too? Fuckingmadness I tell you.
