Body and Soul EP

The Body and Soul EP, along with The Reptile House EP, are probably my two favorite Sisters of Mercy releases. Were/are there ever any plans to release this on cd? I know that Body and Soul (the song) is on ...Overbombing, but what about the others? I have demo versions on cd of Train and Afterhours, which are good, but not as solid as the official versions. Are there any particular bootleg cds with the entire EP on it? I have the orange copy of Some Boys and it skips the far superior rerecorded version of Body Electric, which I think is criminal. They should just rerelease Some Girls in the correct chronology with the inclusion of this gem.

SGWBM contains the Reptile House EP in it's entirety.
Not sure about the Body And Soul b-sides (what tracks are on it?)

Train, Afterhours, and Body electric 84.
No sign of a CD re-release whatsoever.

It's a shame Train wasn't put on the rereleases, I would've preferred that to Long Train... *snore*

Especially as on the CD you can hear the "stitches" between the original bits of
Train a lot more clearly than you could on the vinyl (IMO)

the
amphetamix is well-worth having on the original flexi...just because it's a flexi.

Is there any bootleg CD with TRAIN, AFTERHOURS, BODY ELECTRIC 1984 in fine (non-vinyl sourced) quality?
I've lost track of all the demos and rarities collections...

Not AFAIK. Enterntainment Or Death and Kama Sutra contain Long Train next to Afterhours and Body Electric.

Yeah, I kinda only got it because it was on a flexi.
Did still put it on loud. May actually go dig out my Lucretia 7" and listen to the both of them..

Thanks for the link!
What about "Enter The Sisters" 2-CD? Are those tracks just copies from vinyl?

The only "proper" CD released track off the B&S EP is Body And Soul. The others have never been released on cd... legally.

Not legally, that's clear... but maybe on a "non-official" release, promo-sampler or whatever?
I can remember how I excited I was when I got the white "digitally remastered" CD of "Some Boys...", and the disappointment when I heard that those tracks were still copies from the vinyl EP.

I have the three tracks ( I stumbled on flacs of them some time ago).
They must be vinyl rips but they are very clean (no pops or clicks) & in any case vinyl sounds better than CD IMHO.
I chucked 'em on a cd with a load of other B-sides & those digital radio sessions that Jansenclone shared just to keep them safe & sound.
I have just put the CD on & got Afterhours playing. & if it's off vinyl, then it was an astonishingly clean/ new copy.

I don't think I've ever played them back to back, but I've always thought that the amphetamix and long train versions of train were identical - is this not right? i shall have to dig em out this weak-end.

Yes they're identical, before 1988 you could only get it on the flexi (or bootlegs), then it was released as the b-side of Lucretia

thought so - thanks Big S; I won't have to risk shaving another thin layer of plastic from one of my flexi discs now
