he's definitely an asshole
if someone sells my DVD, i'll find him and give a punch, even if it would happen 15 years later
i hope the first thing wouldn't happen

And I should have mentioned this earlier ...the latest DVD available at the record fairs is ...
The Sisters Of Mercy - A Comeback Of Sorts
Belgrade 2006. It has pics of MV stolen from the official website (back and front) and all the wording is perfect English. Which, coupled with the title, would suggest it's been produced by a native English speaker.
I've never seen inside the DVD case as they're sealed in cellophane.
The only other place I've seen this DVD available is here in the weeding section.
Bad karma beckons once again, I'm afraid.

In all fairness Johnny I think the Belgrade DVD was doing the rounds on Ebay, prior to making an appearance on the weeding section. In fact I think Rise & Reverbarate bought it from Ebay & then weeded it.
The other guy is a t**t though for sure. He has been asked to remove the
twothousandandfivehighlightsdvd by the HL'er that produced it, but continues to sell it.

@ Spiggy's hat Yeah, I did get it off ebay direct from the taper (Bojan) when he first put it on there. After he'd sold a few copies ebay stopped him from selling anymore, under their Piracy rules apparently. These other 2 ebayers mentioned seem to buy the DVD's (usually off the european auction sites), re-badge them and then start selling copies off.
Ironic really that the person who shot the master footage can't sell it on ebay yet the people who ripped off his copy can.
He sells his recordings from his own website now and seems to video most of the gigs in Serbia.

hadn't thought about that - stuff appearing on Ebay before incoming to the weeding section here. i've been sorely tempted by 1 or 2 of these dvds in the past, but decided against buying them - didn't want to encourage anyone who was going against the wishes of fans who have gone to the trouble of filming/recording a show & weeding them out. Ebay seem pretty good at notice-and-takedown, but the re-badging is really a problem.

I think this is what PiB means about "biting the hand that feeds":
The taper of the Belgrade show was selling it; what incentive has he to tape more shows if his recordings are almost immediately spread around for free, rather than him being able to sell a few copies?

I didn't mind either of them (Nottingham guy and Belgrade guy) selling
their own recordings on ebay. It's illegal (as all unofficial recording) and I'd never do it, yes, but at least they sell their "own" stuff. And in the case of the guy from Belgrade it was for a very reasonable price (15 euros). What I can't stand at all are people who sell other people's recordings on ebay. Like the guy who was offering a DVD containing Wake and Belgrade 06...

ok but some people don't know about this forum, wedding, trading etc.. and it still a good way to get some stuff via ebay.

I don't critizise people who
buy stuff on ebay - that's their own decision. It's the people who make money on ebay from other people's recordings that have been shared or weeded or traded that I can't stand, cause that behaviour just destroys trading/weeding/sharing.

Has the master looked at getting the "un" removed from "unofficial discussion forums" ?

I believe "unofficial" is the best way to go. Removal of the "un" would mean that HL would have to meet with Von's approval. And that just might wreck things a bit - and I don't just mean Trading, Weeding and Sharing either.

You mean that a disapproving eye keeping track might just sap the fun out of what is otherwise a pretty laid back and cool community?
