m*****n UK Video Competition...
Posted: 21 Mar 2007, 08:47
From The m*****n's MySpace site;
A few people have asked on the MWIS forum if there is a video
accompanying the upcoming m*****n single release of 'Keep It In The
Family'. The straight answer to this is no, not yet, as we at MWIS
thought it would be a novel idea to run a competition for the budding video makers out there amongst you to see if one of you could make a video for us. With home video software & equipment being so readily available and easy to use these days we thought we'd ask you to let your imagination run riot and come up with something that is different and daring and visual.
The only criteria is that the video must run to 3:35 long, the length
of the radio edit version of the song. If you prefer to make the film
to audio then you can buy and download for 79p the 'Keep It In The
Family (radio edit)' from iTunes . And if you win then we promise we'll give you your money back!
The content is up to you and your imagination but it must be something that could possibly be played on tv. The video doesn't have to feature the band, it can be anything you like. We are not looking for a conventional music video.
We will feature the video on this website, on our Myspace page, and on Youtube, and any other place that would be willing to show it. And also both Cooking Vinyl and SPV would place it where they can. For any of you harbouring dreams of making a music video this is your opportunity.
In return we are offering a prize to the maker of the video we like the best of 2 free tickets to a show of your choice on the upcoming m*****n tour in May and we will pay for a hotel for you and your guest for the night as well as the opportunity for you to meet the band at the venue and receive armfuls of tour merchandise and signed copies of the new album.
You can send your entries in Mpeg format to: mishvidcomp @ gmail.com
Please enclose a return email address, a telephone no. where we can contact you in the event that you are the winner, and a brief personal history if you so desire.
All entries must be received by the end of April 8th and a decision
will be made within the following week as to the winner, announced on our websites.
A good idea? Fun if nowt else
