It's an extremely METAL line up. Will the Sisters fit in? Could be good fun and it's not too dear at only 63 euros. Fingers crossed they're playing on a Saturday. Black metal bands make me laugh, even more than goth bands.

matt..

Ooooh, less than a 90min drive for me, so an initial :P ...until on the FAQs:

Q: Will there be day tickets again in 2007?

A: There will only be festival tickets for the full period from July 5 - 7, 2007.

€ 63,00 (£42.00) to catch a one hour set at the end of the night after standing in a field all day is just a tad too steep for someone just wanting to just see The Girls. *sigh*

But obviously if they announce it's a showcase gig to promote the new studio album released the week before, I may be persuaded ... :innocent:

.....or deluded ;D

Me ? I'm too far away but would have gone quite happily had I been nearer. It's not a bad place to see such an engaging band and if there is a new studio album out then all the better.

Right. That's Satyricon discussed then......did somebody say the Sissies were on too ?

this is surely the least fitting headliner for that line-up. What is he expecting other than flying beer-bottles?

Strange line-up for them... indeed.

Maybe that's what Von wants. :von:

Or maybe they'll play the new album's kickass metal tracks, beat all the other bands to the ground and leave them for dead.

i heart Babelfish:
", it gave rumors over a new album" which we here also as rumor to stay lets. Which however no rumor is: the cult volume "The Sisters OF Mercy" will honour hostage wind the open air with a Live one show. Further information already soon under the menu option of volume.

A new sign of life, thats good news. Von and his metal boys will rock the house! I would go, if there is no other Gigs coming up. Its about 4 hours from where i live.

Interesting. Maybe he will grow back his hair for this one and play a metal-set. Kicking off with More, finally! But he'll also need to be more drunk than usually these days and do a more '92-type performance.

i don't know what Satyricon has been up to for the last 10 years but seeing them on the same bill with Sisters is really weird...maybe i should travel farther for Sisters gig this year. Though probably they've little to do now with what they were in the early 90s.

I've got only 2 questions:

-one day tickets?
-how to get to this place?

(my lacking information about other bands besides the Sisters, Paradise Lost and Holy Moses is not a question)

nope..

That´s a good question. Geiselwind is in the middle of nowhere. Nürnberg or Regensburg, roughly speaking.
