Creating a Rosetta Stone fan site

I have decided this is the safest way of letting out some of my obsession with said band.
I am in the process of compiling images and information from the web and my own collection etc. I have used a few things uploaded by heartlanders, if and when I put the site up and it causes objection I will of course take them down .
If anyone wishes to lend aid I am looking out for:
- Info on the pre D+L demo tapes
- Images of the band that arn't available on the ineternet.
- Scans of anything people think relevent, flyers etc.
Basically, the site is going to compile all the images I can gather in one place as well as a discography with lyrics (there doesn't seem to be a complete one on the web).
It may well have been inspired by Quiff Boy's excellent March Violets site
Please post here or PM me if you wish to contribute anything.

Christ, I found a Rosetta Stone single this morning.. upon closer inspection, it was the OTHER Rosetta Stone, but my heart certainly skipped a beat or two.

Maisey, the band were originally members of band called Third Enigma. With Porl and Karl and Ali McWatt on lead vocals. She left to join a band called Playtime and was duel vocalist with Pete McCloughlin ( my old flat mate)
Rosetta Stone formed and recorded a demo tape at Stationhouse studios in New Brighton ( next door to New Brighton train station).
After recording the Recreate and Emulate tapes they began gigging. I was asked to manage them due to my close ties with Hussey and various 'people in the business' and the band began playing at Milos and Planet X in Liverpool.. with their first ever out of town show coming at Bradford's 1 in 12 club.
The rest is history. From working with Rolling Stones producer Daniel Lazarus to signing to Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera's Expression records label and selling out Rock City in Nottingham and the Marquee in London not once but twice.
I've got photos which I can send you if you want..?

That would be great Ramone. I hadn't considered writing a biography!
I am currently typing up the lyrics to every RS song released
I hope to get the skeleton of the website up and running as soon as possible. Inititially just providing a biography, discography and lyrics bank, and work from there. I am in the process of collecting photos and things for an image bank. I've emailed 'them in leeds' to ask if I can use the images from the official myspace account...
(I'm also scanning in the flyers and things that you sent
)
a big sorry to those i have hasseled TOO enthusiastically for RS memorabillia, its all in the name of love...

Hey Ramone, you don't have any demos you'd consider releasing, do you? I know a label, right...

Rather than clutter the board with another thread...
I have most of the song lyrics available to copy. The ones I have had to work out myself so far are "Summer" and "Revelations"
if anyone can help...
Summer

You serve in solitude
This pride of hers that
It tears apart
Cuts you up
And this figurehead lies face to face
With wounds I never
This heart and mind
This fear of yours
Revelations
______________
Revelations wrapped in silver
Swift kindred torn apart
Populations
Generations
Blind
eating out of your hand
Walk on water
A messiah
Sacred heart moves across this land now
A child at heart playing hide and seek
Slay the meek now
A child of wisdom damned if I
Ignore the
Revelations ripped and torn
A life of this wish you’d never been born
See a place and a heart of gold
Never to be told
And the waters found
On his land
Close your eyes, walk hand in hand
See the faces so clear
calm???
If anyone can clarify the blanks it would be excellent [/quote]
