pooter help needed

hello peeps
me is a bit fick so me needs some help with pooter. say, for example, me has a mpeg and me wants to take a still from said mpeg to use as me desktop wallpaper. how would me do that then? me would be very grateful for any assistance from any of you cleverer peeps.

one of the extras allows you to grab a still image from the movie.
thats how i got this avatar i'm using right now
it may not be the best quality though - they tend to be small pictures.
