Popworld Pulp closes after only one week

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

The first issue of the music magazine, which was linked with Channel 4's Popworld show, had an initial print run of 130,000 copies but sold just 9,000. "The magazine has bombed in a way nobody connected with it could ever have envisaged."
Fes up, did YOU buy it

I can't believe that anyone was prepared to bankrole the idea, less than a year after Smash Hits folded due to ................ever declining sales.
Give me one good reason

I found it a bit amazing that the publishing company thought they could sell 60 thousand copies of a new magazine in a week (130,000 in total including back issue buyers) when NME only sells just over 70 thousand copies a week on adverage.

thou my girlfriend did get a copy because she's mad about The Klaxons who where on the cover of the first issue.
The second issue of the magazine featuring with fall out boy on the cover did sneak into a few news agents down south as it had already been delivered so maybe thats worth more on ebay!
