Wine with wine

It’s passing like a wave
And I’m waiting for the rain
Caught up with this wine again
It’s passing slowly
Time’s killing me
Much worse than living under the sun, but I
Still want you to send letters to me
I can’t think no more, can’t read too much
The clouds hang low
So let’s drink to the dead lying next to the highway
And the lust that we had and that I still know
But the dipsticks in the mayonnaise
Steak under the garlic sauce
Wine with wine and I’m waiting
For the rain…
She said do you remember the time when rain falls
Do you remember a time when here
In the days the wind was stronger
In the days when cold was near, she said
When storms had no beginning
While storms had no end
When shadows shrunk no longer, I
Knew no other time but winds were wild
Winds were wild
Steak in the mayonnaise
Dipsticks in the garlic sauce
And I’ve lost all sense of what rain was like
But I can’t forget so will not wane and I
Still look for a drop of rain and I
Still look for a tiny drop
And I’m walking down the shelf again
It’s so damn hot I just can’t breathe and I’m
Talking, through the heat
Trying to hold on, waiting for the rain
And I’m only cooking that which you want
But I’m lonely here and I think you know and I
I am waiting
And I wait in pain
Wine with wine and I’m waiting
For the rain…
(play this with Nine While Nine
adjusted the song to fit these insanely high temperatures)
And I’m waiting for the rain
Caught up with this wine again
It’s passing slowly
