So here it is: the best lyrics topic. I'll split this in multiple parts as an objective opinion is quite impossible.
1- Your personal favourite for best lyrics. Main "best lyrics" , but not
objective.
2- Funniest lyrics. What makes you laugh.
3- Hardest lyrics. Most true, bitter lyrics.
4- Most satirical lyrics.
5- Most depressive lyrics.
6- Coolest lyrics.
7- Best pronounced lyrics. If you like the way they are said.
8- Most emotional lyrics. Those that make you cry, be sad, touch you.
Hope to get something out of this! And please stay on topic, don't start babbling about me or this topic, just fill in the 8 "bests" and then comment.

Never Land (full length)
....
And will the earth break your fall
And will the hurt break your will
And the heartbreak be over
It will
We are coming down
We fall.. hand in hand in hand in hand
We are coming down but we will
Never never land
I had a face on the mirror
I had a hand on the gun
I had a place in the sun and a ticket to Syria
I had everything within my reach
I had money and stuff
Each and every call
Too much but never enough
Tear it up and watch it fall
We are coming down
We fall… hand in hand in hand in hand
We are coming down but we will
Never never land
With our backs to the sky
And our eyes on the ground
With the clouds far below
No horizon around
With the wind in our face
And our arms open wide
We will pass through this place
…to the other side
All the days of our lives
All the ways of our calling
Fall
I had a face on the mirror
I had a hand on the gun
I had a place in the sun and a ticket to Syria
I had everything within my reach
I had money and stuff
Each and every call
Too much but never enough
Tear it up and watch it fall

Phantom converted a techno DJ I know to a Sisters-listener!
It´s marvelous!
Tense and nearly minimalistic elegance!
It´s
to the point, nothing missing, nothing to spare.
I´m shocked,
Mr. Blast!

Ill try
1. Far too many
2. Kiss the carpet
3. No time to cry "Sometimes in the world as is you've
Got to shake the hand that feeds you"
4.
5. Bury me deep
6. ALL OF THEM
7. Too many to choose from
8. That bit in emma: the whole "Darling I love you" verse, brilliant
This is too hard of a thing to answer. After all, these are only the lyrics which first come to the head. I know im missing out on a large chunk of sisters brilliance..

The lyrics are beyond despair.
I think that's what he meant.
This is
so not the "Worst Sisters songs" thread.

The good:
and there's metal and blood in the scent and mascara ... on a backdrop of lashes and stars ... in a flood of your tears ...
The cool:
i don't go there now ... but I hear they sung their f**k me and marry me young ...
there have been better plans ... but none that I could ever understand ...
The hard:
she needs you like she needs her tranx ... to tell her that the world's okay
The well pronounced:
Mari-a-i-a-i-an
The daft:
... and I need all the love I can get ...
The one's they stole and made their own:
... I'll make you the biggest star this world has ever seen ...
Fav? As always I'll go for a tie between Driven Like the Snow and Nine While Nine.

1- Best Lyrics -
Dominion/Mother Russia, no bloody contest. Everything I respect about
as a songwriter in one fell swoop.
2- Funniest lyrics -
This Corrosion always puts a smile on my face. It's so... snarky.
3- Hardest lyrics - the last third of
Some Kind Of Stranger, or
Temple of Love. If you can't have forever, take one night and ravage it...
4- Most satirical lyrics - most of Vision Thing, especially
Something Fast. If you think
's opening up and confessing his innermost, think again.
5- Most depressive lyrics -
Nine While Nine. I love it, but it's one of the few I find myself skipping on a regular basis.
6- Coolest lyrics -
Marian, I think. There's something about that German bit that just sends tingles down me spine.
On The Wire isn't half bad either.
7- Best pronounced lyrics - HAH. Probably
Under the Gun when he gives up any pretence at singing, and even then there's ambiguities.
8- Most emotional lyrics - I'm going to go for
Driven Like The Snow, as it seems to be the only time
could be conjectured as not having a glimmer of sarcasm or irony about him.

Sounds plausible to me
1- Best Lyrics - Flood II - The Ultimate Masterpiece - One hundred hidden meanings in that song...
2- Funniest lyrics - Floorshow - " The western dream"
3- Hardest lyrics - Amphetamine Logic - No comment.
4- Most satirical lyrics - Ribbons - Pure bitter venom.
5- Most depressive lyrics - Nine While Nine for sure.
6- Coolest lyrics - Dominion/Mother Russia - Only Andrew can write/sing this song without appearing ridiculous but outstanding.
7- Best pronounced lyrics - We Are The Same, Susanne , which is absolutely impressive.
8- Most emotional lyrics - Some Kind Of Stranger because "knowing doesn't mean so much"
