his ideas and theories are interesting, but tbh its more his actual inventions and the realisations of his ideas that impress me... his approach to synthesizers was amazing 8)

At one point in history the good Doktor took the form of a Oberheim DMX drum machine ( made circa 1981)

We (Rosetta ) go hold of one to try and capture it's essence and found out it did indeed once belong to the Sisters... the Pointer Sisters!! It was given to us by an engineer who used to work for the the 'other Stones, they being of the Rolling variety.

I think round the time of Flood land he became a Roland RX5 or some thing equally technical. Hey, I just booked the gigs and plugged the stuff in - I never had to make the damn things go 'beep and bang' :) That' was Mr King's domain.

think it was a standalone drum machine up until darkness & light

when they signed the 1st album deal i think it became a full-on sample-based synth & drum combined affair :?:

Madame Razor was originally a Casio RZ1 (Where she got her RaZor name from) she then matured into a Oberheim DMX then into a Roland RX-5 drum machine.

During and shortly after the recording of AEFTC various outboard units where added. From what i can recall there was Keyboard unit a Guitar multi synth both by Roland - but like I said Mr King was the tech head of the band I just plugged it all in and made sure the 'the little red on light' came on.

King used various peddles but most of the guitar effects came through the rack unit and the into a Roland JC 120 combo amp and a H H cab.

Porl Young used standard Roland effect peddles ( chorus, distortion etc) into a Fender combo amp

Karl played a Fender Jazz bass into a Trace Elliot head and cab.

Madame razor was always a stand alone drum machine but she may of been absorbed into a bigger unit after I left.
