Andrew Eldritch throwing cigarettes.

I just had a laugh watching footage of Andrew Eldritch having a cigarette fight with a disgruntled crowd. I can't understand much of what is being said, but it sounds as if Von was winding up the presenter via relenting to speak German (the interview at one point begs him to speak German in English), so is it possible for one of the more fluent German speakers here to translate and tell me what's going on exactly?

There's also a Dutch interview here and a German interview here (from 1984) that I have never seen before and thought people here may be interested in.

But never take Deutsch for Dutch. Dutch is what the silly Dutchmen do in The Netherlands.

Hahaha - that was cute. Seemed like ol' Eldo was amusing himself at the interviewer's expense. ;)

Andrew: I am the fifth beatle!!!!

Then the interviewer still waits for a call, but that doesent work.

Interviewer: Maby i`ll just talk to him. What do you do when you get nervous? Smoke? I always carrie masses of cigarettes with me. You want one?
Andrew: Have you got enough?
I: Yeah sure. What is your reciepe.
A: Apart from the drugs? Far to many cigarettes.
I: Oh, we got someone on the telephone. Who is it? Hello? I don´t hear a thing.
Caller: ... from Achen.

A: He does have a fire.
I: And you guessed who he is?

Dinky, you forgot this one! Untergewicht wrote "Part 3" on it!
A very nice find, especially as we get Andrews bank link (Commerzbank Reeperbahn, ask for Mrs. Bremer (I just took a look for a link to them, they´ve shut down! Too much Rock´n`Roll going on around them?))

I guess the interviewer from the first link was what started Andrews very special handling techniques for the audience (Quote: "Shut up!").
Only that this interviewer blerk was very serious about that.. (Which probably was what made the audience throw stuff onto the stage)

I shall dedicate to try and type out the three links. Trainspotting at it´s worst, yes, but someone´s got to do it.
(Forum:"Get a life!" Me:"Can´t afford one" F:"Fine, then get typing!")
That may take some time, though.

The presenter was begging the audience to be quiet. But they rather didnt care and screamed for The Residents who have been on before.

what an embarrassing little oddity.

Eldritch, although looking somewhat nervous, seemed to be enjoying it though. I love the cheeky smirk he gets that is now dinky daisy's avatar.

@Little_Sister, thanks for the translation. :D :notworthy: :D

And I guess he's an old politician or something?

Yupp. Andrew apparently loves the members of the bavarian CSU for their sensible scepticism of social engagement.
You may imagine the political conditions down there at Bavaria as a mix of a comedy version of 1920´s Chicago and today´s Disneyworld.
