"Betrayal Records"

I received a message from Betrayal Records regarding The Mumbles and "furthering our music" with them.
I would be over the moon and ecstatic however my mates band were contacted by them recently and plans fell through.
Are they legit or is it a scam? Anyone know anything about them?

Don't be so paranoid. Ok, I can't say I blame you though.
I know nothing about them, but here is some contact information
since they offer nothing but an email on the web site.

Dude, I know it's on the whois register, but it's not a good idea to put people's personal information on a public forum.

my mistake. 
I just assume that since I'm not going to do something
stupid with it that everyone is the same.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. Basically, what we're doing at the moment is producing a number of up-coming acts throughout the country. We started as purely a demo recording company, but got tired of seeing talented musicians slip through our fingers. Since then, what we've started doing is to provide free recording time for the bands and solo musicians we work with to produce either an album, or perhaps just an EP, and are operating a profit-share scheme, splitting profits 50:50 with the bands, after which the music can then be sold at gigs and from our site in hard copy CD and downloadable MP3 formats. The site's now starting to generate a significant amount of hits per day, and the figures will keep going up as we continue to upload music for sale. We will be able to give you a whole page on the site aswell in order to upload pictures and a biog (somewhat like a secondary Myspace). We shall also be working closely with a new company called Snow Day Records who will be organising band nights in and around London.
What we're looking for are commited musicians who have a good following, can play well, and put on a good show. If this sounds like it would be of interest to you, get in touch and we can put something together.
