Speaking of MTV, I've had sky for about 9 years and have never seen a Sisters vid shown. utterly shameful.

the last big sisters mtv outing was 120 minutes around the release of vision thing, eldy and some tart in an empty beerkeller as far as memory serves...
it was actually very funny, old andy trying (and failing badly) to appeal to the mcdonald masses...
i think they just didn't get it...

Do you mean Pip Dann? Or Andreas Bruhn perhaps?
Pip Dann did PostModern with Andrew and Andreas in the Hamburg Fish Market. And then that King guy did it for 120 minutes, also in Hamburg. Where there any other outings? (apart from the Sisters Special and the interview at Reading)

hummmmmm, all i remember was von and some blonde tart vj, andreas wasn't there and von was doing his vj thang, as well as trying to be sarcastic and said blonde tart just not getting it (although, who knows what she got afterwards
)

MTV europe only got really sucky in about the last 6 years. Up till then it was pretty varied and you'd get the odd sisters vid on "hits from the year x" programmes.
VH1 is not much better...

Never much there but endless ZZ Top and adverts for loans that last
for 75 years....
Classic rock, crushing debts
Guess the ads for each channel must match what the advertisers
think is the "profile" for the viewers...
Wonder what advertisers a Sisters Channel would attract

MTV:2 played this corrosion.. erm.. ages ago.. bout 4 years ago..
i remember because i was about 17 and had never seen the sisters on any kind of tv program, so i was pleased...
But if the sisters want regular exposure to the MTV masses they need to release a single
with accompanying promo vid...
or else the only chance to see the sisters will be on some 80's night on VH1................................................................

Products such as "Drac in a box" - ads for "six feet under" and Sunglasses possibly.....

If we could in some way wangle it so that the Sisters are defined as a sporting event, they could advertise Ciggies till 2005...

Nice one Rob.....
maybe we can put them in touch with Bernie Ecclestone...
all you have to do is give the government a million pounds.

Speaking of TV, I hope all of you who're interested are aware that Hallmark are currently running through Homicide Life On The Street; the
second series started on Tuesday.
In fact it's my long time favorite television- if any of you are unfamiliar then please accept my recomendation.
The less said about MTV the better.

I didn't know you lived in York; perhaps we've met. I'm notoriously over dressed, usually wearing beige. Are you aquainted with my good friends Mozz and Ray?
The second series, in my oppinion, is less sophisticated than the first- while more action happens (the characters lives are certainly more tumultous), the subtleties are not so elegant. Pembleton and Baylis' relationship was explored as a fait acompli in the first series- now, their partnership is explored explicitly and somehow lacks the dimensions that were so interesting before Frank's stroke. I may talk for hours...
On the other hand, Michelle Forbes' face has lit many cigarettes lately; well enjoyed ones too!
Yours ever.
