Heartland

Am I imaging it or did somebody run a fantasy football thing on here some time ago? Anybody planning on doing one?

I'd offer to do one but I haven't got a clue how to automate such things.

I think it was Richie who organised it, but I may be wrong. Johhny Boy and Ez were in on it, you could ask them puppies.

can't get into them from work, but these are two of the best

the one i'll be in again at work, only a team selection and manual substitution, harder to maintain but maybe more skill in scoring points

yeah - thats the one I usually play too, but happy to join other HLers in a league elsewhere.

Register and select your team, then look for the mini-league 'MyHeartland'
Code to join this league is: 294034-59892

Rules are fairly straightforward - pick a squad (including subs) and nominate a captain (who scores double). Theres a whole breakdown of the points system in there, but on the whole go for keepers+defenders likley to keep clean sheets and any players who can score a few.

Each week you pick a starting 11 and prioritise your subs - if any of the first 11 dont play for any reason, subs are bought on in the order specified.

The rules section on the site is very thorough.

Can someone make a decision as to where the HL (Heartland League) will be? HC/SKOS?

And, as none of us will be 'the special one' and actually win any of the prizes on offer at whichever Fantasy League we participate in, I propose we all bung in a fiver for the Heartland League and the Campione takes it all. Money to be held by whoever the organiser is.

Thoughts?
