Original Damage Done for sale!

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Seems like this guy is getting rid of all his stuff at once... Search on 'sisters of mercy' on eBay and weep...

From what I understand you can't tell unless you check the engraving in the groove. I bought a copy long ago, paid an embarrasing large amount of money for it, and it sure looked like the real thing, but it didn't have that inprint 'for Spiggy', nor the right figures, etched into it.

i was told a long time ago that original copies have the church spire on, but bootleg versions all seem to have it cropped off...

is that an urban myth then? :?: :urff:

There was a discussion some time ago, and yes, the original has the cross visible on top of the church. As has this one on eBay...

Remember one thing about the "Damage Done" 7" single - Its unlikely to be in a mint, brand new condition - should the ebay item seem too "new" then most likely its a bootleg.- shame really

I heard about 10 years that bootleggers in Japan were producing exact copies of rare uk 7" singles - Damage Done included.
