before the hussbag and craig left, what songs were being earmarked for the proposed von/huss/adams 2nd sisters album? serpents kiss, garden of delight? giving ground? wake? any of the floodland material?
the 2nd album was going to be called something about left on a m*****n of revenge??
also, does anyone have the audience boot footage of "train" and the other encore songs from RAH to put on you tube? i've never seen them.
only "gimme shelter" has made it onto youtube from the boot
cheers

I don't think there actually was title. Hussey had a handful of songs (Wake, Serpents Kiss, Garden of Delight, Bridges Burning) that they worked on in Hamburg. Others were left from the FALAA sessions but never used. The music for what became later Dance on Glass was one of them. Never heard of Torch being included in that.

Wasn't Torch the reason Craig left? Something to do with playing bass lines that followed the guitar lines or something.
So, therefore Torch must have been written during the inital sessions for LOMAR

Torch for definite. I'm almost certain that all of the Hussmonster songs we know of were demoed in 1984 for FALAA.

Reading the threads in this section never fails to make me feel like I'm an absolute and utter non-fan. Holy moly.

Do you think Torch (and Colours) was the bside to tc as an extra kick in the balls
and also the reason
didnt want it on Floodland ?

I think the reason he didn't want them on Floodland was they don't really fit do they?
The end of the album is Never Land. It doesn't feel right when Torch starts up.
The This Corrosion single and Gift were the retaliation for Hussey and Adams leaving and of course the Sisterhood incident.

points one and two agreed, yep totally.
point three yep agreed nothing new there, my point is Torchs' inclusion as an
extra kick in the balls along with the rerecorded gift song.
Actually it was probably laziness cos it was already lying around.
I could care less really, it was just a passing thought.

I'm with
Moody on this one, the presence of Torch and Colours on the B side are almost certainly a definite extra dig.
On the running order: just change it. Slap Torch and Colours between 1959 and TC, and it works extremely well.

Just like FALAA should have started with Marx' half! First and Last and Always is an opener, live with it!

And it opens side 2.

millions of years ago when it came out on

it opened depending on which side of the record you played first.
