'Ooh look, an egg. Get it!'

Sorry Laurent, that's a 'no' - bloody toffs pastime over here (mind you I don't like rugby league either, and that's played by proper rough nutters).

Still, you know, I play cricket ffs, so I've no room for slagging off other sports  :innocent:

Enjoy though...

Too right I'm interested - apart from the fact that it's an opportunity to demonstrate to the locals that real men play sport without helmets and shoulder pads, it's an excuse to drink large amounts of guinness for breakfast. The Fr v Arg should be a good game, but I'll miss it. Looking forward to watching England deliver a righteous kicking to the US tomorrow, though.

OMG England will kill the American team ! It's going to be a massacre !
I had no idea the US had qualified.

@ EvilBastard : they do use protective gears. Obviously not as much as in American football, but they still do.

Come the day
And come the hour
Come the power and the glory
We have come to answer
Our country's call...
From the four proud provinces of Ireland

Chorus
Ireland, Ireland
Together standing tall
Shoulder to shoulder
We'll answer Ireland's call.

From the mighty
Glens of Antrim
From the rugged hills of Galway
From the walls of Limerick
And Dublin Bay
From the four proud provinces of Ireland

(chorus)

Hearts of steel
And heads unbowing
Vowing never to be broken
We will fight, until
We can fight no more...
For the four proud provinces of Ireland.
;D

I don't think they qualified legally - I suspect that Washington threatened to invade France if they didn't allow the US to join in their reindeer games.

They use some protective gear, but the whole point is to tell the yanks that they don't - it makes them fear and respect us a little more 8)

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy lamb of god
In England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon these clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Amongst these dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold
Bring me my arrows of desire
Bring me my bow, oh clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire.
I will not cease from mental fight
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

And it will be a good deal more pleasant if Mr. GoldenBoots Wilkinson is fit for the SA match in a week, although I deplore that the game has been reduced to a kicking fest instead of some good old-fashioned ball-running.

Oops, cooking curry tonight and keeping an eye on the start of France Argentina coverage - looks like I used a whole jar of curry paste rather than the quarter suggested....

I'll probably watch more matches than I intend to (ie quite a lot) but I've a horrible feeling that once the USA match is out of the way it's going to be an anticlimax for the fans in white.....

That'd have to be Virgin Atlantic, Davey - the ol' Concorde's defunct, now, innit? Sadly, I fear all the curry'll be gone by the time I get over there...

Sinny, if you fancy a curry in the 212 sometime let me know :)

Nice result for the ArgieBargies, not as high as it could have been but I suspect the atmosphere in the french locker room at half time was pretty flippin' hostile.
