So is it a promo tape or a demo tape?
that one looks like a boot of the official vision thing album.
are these "eastern-bloc" bootlegs?
i remember hearing that there were obscure copyright laws in places like poland etc that allowed the selling of bootleg albums such as these two offerings would appear to be
if that is so, then they are merely home-recordings of official releases, and pretty much worthless
Don't know about these items but in general, Quiff Boy, you have heard very true rumours.
Even in Estonia there were awful masses of Polish cassettes in the early 90s on sale. Some of them were designed exactly as the originals but some of them looked quite sad (or on the contrary: funny).
I remember - I had "Some Girls Wander By Mistake" in 2 pieces (don't remember any more which songs were on the 1st one and which on the other) - one had almost the same design as the original tape (I had this one, too) and CD but the other was white with black print.
I had also "First And Last And Always" Polish tape which cover had a frame from yellow and light blue (or was it pink?
) lines around the cover picture of the album.
And I had a "Floodland" tape which was designed in good taste - the only thing: the copy of the ablum's cover was so dark that you couldn't see the face of Patsy
And there was one worse aspect, too... 2 songs were missing in the songs' list and 2 songs were missing also in fact... but they were not the same tunes
And to be true - this tape hadn't note where was it made - maybe it wasn't Polish.
Sometimes these Polish tapes had some funny mistakes - for example I have seen a Queen's tape in which cover there was written "SNOW MUST GO ON" in the place of "SHOW MUST GO ON"
.
Well, what do you think - am I a stupid one because I haven't retained all this Polish tapes of Sisters?
Actually I feel myself sorry because I broke the original "Some Girls..." tape but there was nothing to do - I listened to it every day for a couple of years. Well, maybe I listened to it every day one year (some days missed but some days more than once) and almost every day for a couple of years... That's way my friends told me I'm a Sisters' fan...
