I know you can connect a video camera to a PC using a simple USB/Video Capture device, but does anyone know if it's possible to connect a webcam to a TV by using the same sort of device but just in reverse?

I don't think so, The TV doesn't have any software to recognise the webcam.

I'm sure some clever bod will come up with an external box that will allow you to do it, but it would probably be cheaper to buy a camcorder!

Depending on what you want to do of course, you could always get a graphics card with an S-Video port and connect up the TV to the PC, therefore seeing the desktop on the TV.

That's what I do sometimes. Alternatively, I think that Sony Ericsson still make a blue tooth scart plug. If your 'pooter's got BT, then you can beam the image wirelessly to the goggle box

My ancient macbook (on which I'm currently typing) has a cable that goes from a jack socket on the 'puter to 3 RCA connectors for standard video and audio inputs.
