Puressence - Early Singles

After seeing the rather excellent Puressence at Thekla on Saturday i decided it's time to track down the early singles. Does anyone have the following:

Offshore 12"/CD
Petrol Skin EP 12"

If anyone is willing to part with them that would be great, if not some sort of copy would be just as good.

If you haven't got the new album Don't Forget To Remember, shame on you!

good gig then? 8) :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

the only singles i have are all i want (with the stunning all along the sure on the b-side  :notworthy: ) and it doesn't matter any more (and palisades and drop down to earth (x2) off the new album natch)

i keep meaning to dip into ebay for the rest...

they're not a band who's very early back catalogue crops up for sale that often :(

 Matt, were you wearing a Sisters' tee shirt? I sort of spotted one but was too *ahem* delicate to do anything more than register a bloke wearing a SOM tee shirt. I really should have come over and said Hi (if it WAS you that is)

As for the early singles....not a hope in hell's chance of getting them, they come up on Ebay every now and again.

And Matt, what an excellent venue the Thekkla is. Gigs on boats - they're the future unless it's on the Thames and the Marchioness springs to mind

Dear Miss vanessa

I reckon I did you/Gaz a copy of the early Puressence rarities/demos cd thing ages ago. Does that have the first singles on it? I'd look but my cds are in a bit of a mess right now. I'll try to find it later ...... i'll no doubt find that the cd and track listing have parted ways.

Did a Salvation gig on the Thekkla in ...erm...88 I think. Claytown Troupe supported. Have it on tape somewhere.

If you're talking about the Planet Helpless demo and other early stuff....t'wasn't you I got it off :P and I don't think either of those are on it. But I'll check....

And the Thekkla must have closed down and re-opened as Saturday night was it's first birthday party apparently.

I definately gave you a puressence rareties cd..... could have even been a double cd. Might have been Nottingham where I gave it to you. It has loooaaaads of songs on it.
I quite liked the boat, only went the once.

Yeah, Thekla's been reopened for about a year now, it was all shiny and new, but now it's all a bit sticky, but aren't all the best venues.
We saw Cooper Temple Clause, Black Wire and Trail Of The Dead, all shows were excellent.
Yes that was me wearing the Sisters shirt, it's what i did my gardening in earlier in the day!
Back on track if anyone has a Puressence rarities CD I would love a copy. I've got all the singles from the Island label, it's just the first 3 that i'm lacking. I've got the Rough Trade single in storage but not on disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Somehow we coped without ANY of the natives  I recall we enjoyed it immensley...AND I SAW WILL MELLOR IN THE BAR OF OUR HOTEL........he's right buff!

Oran Mor....very nice. Apparently they spent of 6 squillion on doing it up and need to rake in over £100K a week to make it pay  I think we helped bump it up that week.

Yep nice size venue....and luvverly food in the bar
