First and Last time played Question

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I have a question that I have been wanting to ask for a long time now, and I think the time is now. In order to answer it I will need to rely on the combined knowledge of the Heartland community!

The question is: when was each Sisters song played live for the first time, for the last time known, was it played in each era (81-82, 83-85, 90-93, 96-now) and has it ever been played before being released?

In order to avoid unnecessary listings, these are the songs I mean:

-The Damage Done
-Watch
-Body Electric
-Adrenochrome
-Alice
-Floorshow
-Anaconda
-Kiss the Carpet
-Lights
-Valentine
-Fix
-Burn
-Temple of Love
-Heartland
-Body and Soul
-Train
-Afterhours
-Walk Away
-On the Wire
-Poison Door
-No Time to Cry
-Blood Money
-A Rock and a Hard Place
-Marian
-First and Last and Always
-Possession
-Nine While Nine
-Amphetamine Logic
-Some Kind of Stranger
-Giving Ground
-This Corrosion
-Dominion/Mother Russia
-Flood I
-Lucretia My Reflection
-Flood II
-Never Land
-More
-Vision Thing
-Ribbons
-Detonation Boulevard
-When You Don't See Me
-Something Fast
-I Was Wrong
-Doctor Jeep
-Under the Gun

And not necessarily, but if your memories serve: the covers, and TOL '92, Alice '93.

Here's where we really need db.tsom.org back again. :(
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Well, there's no difference in terms of live arrangement between the two Alices.
And you're right, mh, that site was pretty damn good.

What happened to it? Couldn't afford to host it anymore?

Back to the question in hand. you could use Hals Site and use the Search facility. I'm not doing it for you though!

This isn't 100% accurate though. Hals is more accurate.

Anyway, as a bonus, here's the first live version of Emma from 19th April 83 at the Leeds Warehouse Get It Here

At that time it was realy a great piece.
And a good site if you wanted to look for some details.
I also don't know why it went out............ :?:
Somebody knows ?
Thought about it to put it down in my site, but it is an amazing lots of work to do it. It is a pity I can not get it in html (so the original writting I mean) directly that would be more simply. Now it is still to find in the web.archive.org, but how long it will stay overhere ?

I'd assume they just couldn't be arsed. There was a real sense of negativity down tours.tsom.org. Pity.

We really should look to recreate it on the Wiki, you know.

I'm just curious Pat

@MyDominion- I really agree- Sisterswiki is WAY too small, and Heartland's combined info is HUGE- so what are we waiting for? it's there, ready for editing, by all Heartland! It shall be done!

If you're curious, why don't you browse the listings of some trading sites, for example, and do some work your self? Answers to questions such as this is not so difficult to come by...i don't know, it's just me, but i've always hated idiots who ask about everything and don't bother doing anything themselves.

But i'll help you a bit. More was last played in Istanbul 2006, i hear.
