And I give you....LEGION! My band unveiled

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hi all

Myself and 2 friends have been working on this for a little while. These tunes are the first fruits of our labour.

Please have a listen, one and all.

Sounds good Rob! Did you record at home or in a studio?

Combination. Rosanna and Black Horizon were studio produced (if in something of a hurrey) whereas The 2 instrumentals were recorded and produced by yours truely.

We will have another full vocal track up next week (Chemical Hands) which will be (until such times as our producer moves house and moves his studio) recorded and produced by Legion - in my study. I have every intention of making it sound ace, even though I'll only be using free software.

Yes, but one that can get us good and regular gigs in Guildford and London between now and March.

In that case, offer withdrawn. Sorry, you were thinking of a proper label, not an "excuse for a" label. ;)

I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I'm pretty sure it was "that was a valient attempt at singing"

Thank you all. Our real trouble is getting live shows. We need a promotor based in the captital that will put on untried goth bands....

Any one know anyone else?

Contact smaller venues directly with a copy of the CD and a short (A4-max bio).

Whore your product and take anything that isn't pay-to-play to get your foot on the ladder.

Well, MeanMusik will help you at every available opportunity if I have any say in the matter (which I do :P). We're just starting ourselves up in the UK though, so maybe give us a little time as we aren't quite capable of distinguishing our arses from our elbows just yet

Gigs in Guildford are quite hard due to lack of real good venues but try the following.

The Star, The Boileroom, City Club Jospehs Rd and the Uni are a little more live music orientated at the moment (Rubix) your best best is the following which are close to Guildford, the West End Centre in Aldershot (contact Barney Jeavons) The Tumbledown Dick, Farnborough ( http://www.quarantineclub.co.uk )or the Agincourt in Camberley.

Good luck.

Seconded. I can't say I know a single band who consider pay-to-play venues, and I would urge bands to not bother with that sort of event unless there's a very good reason (charity, etc). :urff:

Am I the only one who thinks that despite more punch and general energy in the Rosetta Stone cover the original is better than the cover here?
Compare!
Unnerving MIDI-fiddles, and somehow the *punch* is missing, there fly no sparks from the Rosetta Stone version. :|
It's a bit *pflrz!*
