Heartlanders on the tellybox

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned already (kill me and bin the thread if it has :innocent: ) but did no-one but meself watch Look North the other week, on the Friday of the Whitby G-Word Weekend? Pub-based quips and soundbites from none other than The RJs (RJ looking a tad embarrassed, bless, Diane soon took over  :notworthy: ), and Mr Allfear and his band doing an acoustic vers of Temple Of Love, or was it one of their own songs, I forget.

Mental.

Mummy! Mummy! There's scary people on the telly! Waaaaahhhhh!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I were on telly t'other night (only if you live in the Border region, and only for about 5 minutes) being interviewed by some bint about what it's like to live here.

And no, i'm not putting it on YouTube for you ba$tards to have a good larf at, neither

Is Whitby festival worth bothering with then?

I've always quite fancied it just for the Dracula connection

I'm not even a dodgy g*th anymore ( :P ;)), yet watching that brief vid's suddenly instilled in me a desire to see this Whitby place (and its 5000 or so black-clad pilgrims) in person. Dammit! :von:

It's actually quite a nice little town even when it's not being invaded.

I thought Mrs RJ was a natural in front of the camera.A whole lot better than some of these Ibiza Report bimbos that are on digital tv in the middle of the night. Maybe she could do a Whitby Report every season. :notworthy: :notworthy:

Not exactly a Heartlander on my telly today, but on that terrible panoramic views thingy they show before the 1 o'clock news here in Belgium featured no other than Balatonfured today :D
Styles are a lie.
