the weegie games 2014

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Tsk- I live in East London and would be more than happy to give you our 'regeneration'...

I can save on council tax and people who like either squat parties or enjoy their allotments will be very happy.

Thousands of pounds to watch people run quickly?? I could hook up CCTV next to Woolworths for less than a hundred quid and you could watch the shoplifters run for free

Also my first reaction but winning the City of Culture back in 1990 did a lot to smarten up the City's image , I can just about see all the neds running about in there new white shell suits supplied by Mr and Mrs tax payer especially for the occasion.
There is also meant to be a budget of 283 million pounds set aside for this. Will it stretch?

No s**t. The east end is the most singularly depressing place I've ever been.

I've always found the east end jolly and friendly, apart from the 40 a side machete standoff's

'Not terrorism'

What's wrong with the world today? Every time I fart a crack squad of rozzers turn up and cart my ass off under the Patriot Act, or whatever 'our' version is called. Sigh.

As for the C-Games, so long as the stadia isnt handed over to some muppet football team afterwards then it should do alright.

That's the fellow. Silly me, thinking it was called the Erosion Of Civil Liberties Act.

Looks quite spectacular down there. Leeds is well boring by comparison.

Leeds is fine, you just don't get much of that exciting stuff going on.

But it's forgiven, given that the Dales are on its doorstep. :D Not too much excitement there either, but boy do they look good, and the Black Sheep is to die for. :D :P :notworthy:

This has drifted somewhat off-topic again hasn't it. :innocent:
