It wouldn't be Christmas without...

1. Having to dismantle the u-bend in the bathroom sink at one o'clock this morning after the wife blocked it by being sick.

2. Making a complete erse of Christmas lunch. The moral? Never leave it to the vegetarians to cook even a very small chicken!

3. Knocking over the last glass of my favourite Cypriot wine.

But I'm still smiling, like only a thirty-five year old man who got a space hopper for Christmas can!

Hope you all had a good one!

IWBCW having put the lights (tested) on the tree & decorated it only to discover the sh!tty chinese lights control box appears to have forgotten it's nice programmed x fade from 1 colour to another, very slowly & has reverted to an unchangable disco type/ epilepsy enducing frenzy of flashing.
Oh & burnt myself on the xmas pud (which I don't actually like, it was for my guests) :?
& then Millhouse got into a fight & came home covered in blood.

An' it's nice to be back!

Oddly enough, of all the things that might have caused trouble, the dog has been extremely well bahaved, considering he's only 11 months old.

Have now attacked the cheese board and am feeling very lardy.

Gave up playing Trivial Pursuit as it turned out to be the Genius edition and after three rounds no one had answered a question correctly.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is much safer.
Of course now the malt is open...

Since I'm confessing, I might as well tell you about the work's office party Friday past.
Lunchtime drinking + free bar = not good for me.
Have vague recollections of asking one of the new project assistants, who also happens to be our engineering manager's daughter, why every time she sees me she gives me a look like I just shat in her cornflakes! :innocent: :?

Could be worse, at least I didn't accuse her of being a "greetin' face heur".
At least I don't think I did...

In bed by half past seven (pm).
Up again by half eleven to spew.
Back in the land of the living by five pm Saturday.

Deary deary me! :)

"It wouldn't be Christmas without" - The cr*ppy 'broadband' connection here in rural Horrorfordshire almost grinding to a halt, so I can't even brighten the usual tedium by chatting with my chums?! Why can't everyone go back to work leaving the night-time free for the 'Living Dead' (i.e 'losers') like me?

Just kidding folks

Remember:~ 'Life is a Holiday' (for some of us)

IWBCW: Drinking way too much wine at the Chrimbo dinner, then passing out in front of Willy Wonka for the rest of the evening.
