It is official promo stuff, seen it before on a fair. It was made to be displayed in record stores to promote the album. Never saw it in any store though ...

They had them hanging up in the local independant record store by me when the album came out. I remember because I kept banging my head on it

i had one of those boxes (in fact i had HMV's entire Floodland display when they took it down) and there is/never was anything in them. it's only a "box" so as it can be folded into a cube. if you glue the flap it's just a cube.

i thought being the proud owner of said display was the dog's bollocks...a sentiment not shared by a succession of house-mates and a girlfriend who eventually binned the lot while "looking after" my possession when i moved into a caravan. there is a special place in hell for her.
