*sigh*
I think I'll pass, I own enough Rosetta shirts, and though I'd love 1 or allof these its another £25 gone. I'd rather have a stage touched by his feet than a shirt touched by his back!
Sometimes it's depressing liking a band that's impossible to believe in. You hear nothing from Karl, and Porl's public (internet) face seems so many thousand worlds away from the swirling beauty of Rosetta Stone that it's hard to believe they are even related.
On the other hand, the March Violets show was something I could really connect. I havn't just h eard them, I've tasted them, and it felt good to know that they arn't just 2 dimensial records in my collection, but real breathing characters full of the maddness and excitment that my mind made them. The music is still as good, but its so much more real.
I'd give up any devotion to Rosetta in a heartbeat, I'd much rather obsess over a band that I could be involved with, even on just a fan/artist level (ie go to gigs, read interviews, anticipate releases), but everytime I put an RS record on I sink into a world of such bliss it scares the hell out of me.
Obviously the division that drove Porl and Karl apart must have been horrendous, but from someone that gets so damn much out of such a simple act as putting on a record its bloody hard to understand what could have been so bad that it was worth ending such wonder.
I realise this was an ad, not a discussion, but I was musing and wanted to write it all down. Sorry allfear for hijacking your thread.

Music IS emotion, so there's nothing wrong in writing those things
Although they still exist and do play live shows, I have similar feelings about the Sisters sometimes ...
