Anything y'all wish to share on this ?!?: ...

Should we/Do we know and/or care?
- Need I feel guilty because I shop at Aldi & Morrisons for 'essentials'
Do those of you who shop at Waitrose and/or Harvey Nichols
- Sneer at me?!
Should we support our Corner Shop?

Is there a morality issue buying music CDs from Amazon, Hmv & E-bay?
- Or Downloading it legally and otherwise ...
- Should we copy it and share it too with our chums?!?
(Naughty, Naughty)
Should we switch off our stereo/PC and pick up that guitar/violin/whatever - Gathering dust in the corner?
Are we killing Live Music?
Is there anything immoral about Drum Machines?!?

In the realm of Clothing, is it: Vanity/Practicality
- Or do you have no choice?

Should we make/grow/play & share all of the above?

Is morality for losers? e.g. Friedrich Nietzsche:
“Morality is the herd-instinct in the individual.
Die fröhliche Wissenschaft (1882) bk. 3, sect. 116

Oh, this is giving me a headache already! ...

When I was a kid, I used to be a maniacal taper, and no one ever objected to this, or said I was ruining the music industry... How's that different from MP3s and copying CDs ?

Morality of shopping? I'll worry about that when I've got the means for shopping.

I'm just doing what the nice man told me to.... 8)

I'll worry about the morality of shopping when I've stopped worrying about the politics of dancing.

Where has the respect for divine principles like morality gone?

And who defends them?
Sorry, I just was watching it and thought it might fit.

Aye. :|

Then again, morals aren't my strong point... ;) Not sure what's meant by "morality of shopping," anyway.

There are three alternatives as I see it:

1: you completely avoid all the sh!t in the world. For this course it seems to me you have to become a monk and live in a cave somewhere.

2: you throw yourself into the sh!t and wallow in it, and become a total cnut.

3: you do what 99% of us do; make the best of a bad situation, choose between the lesser of two evils, you wade through the sh!t and hope that not much of it sticks.

That's pretty much what I do, and I would assume most people on here. I buy free-range eggs and would buy free range meat if I ate it and I now (thanks to Jamie Oliver's programme last week) agonise over buying things which might have eggs in (like mayo, fresh pasta) that could be battery eggs. Recently I have made to decision to buy English produce as far as fruit and veg goes, this is now made a lot easier since Budgens just started stocking local farmers produce and is a lot easier than driving to the farm shops, plus Budgens are open when I finish work and the farm shops aren't.

I'm afraid we do do our main monthly/bi monthly shop at Asda or Morrisons which is very hypocritical of me as I am against plans to build a massive Tesco in my town.

My choice in clothes comes down to vanity to be totally honest, but what girls doesn't? I have recently discovered that I lurve clothes shopping.....

Well, that's me! :innocent:

 I'm stuck with whatever happens to fit me - which isn't much, and isn't always (or even very often) flattering, current, or cool. Thank f*ck for the Gap online store! Boring-as-shite basic jeans and trousers, but at least they're long enough... :|

Yup.

@ Sinnie - whilst being able to imagine what a ballache it must be actually finding clothes, I hope you don't think it remiss of me to point out that you looked bloody great in whatever you wore last August. :notworthy:

I'd have to second that, although I didn't meet Sinnie in August - but I've not been able to eat Indian food since without some fond memories :D

and get your mind out of the gutter, you orrible lot - I meant that Indian food is greatly improved by the addition of delightful company
