Are any of the Heartland regulars taking a trip to a civilised European country for the start of the tour?
Just over a week away - I'm so looking forward to this!

Any feedback?
Should I give the untrained monkies at the ticket office who have yet to post tickets to me a hard time now, or only remind them after the gig and ask for a refund instead?
What is this season's colour according to the peroxide boy wonder? Is he still peroxide? Has he still got hair? So many questions...

I take it you're not subscribed to the Dominion mailing list? That's where all the reviews and blow-by-blow accounts seem to be...
Anyway, for what it's worth, the main points about the first gig of the tour are:
Eldritch currently has very short hair (almost shaven) which makes him look a little like either Eminem or Jimmy Somerville depending on how charitable you are...
The setlist had a few surprises in it, namely "Burn" which they haven't played since '97, "When You Don't See" and "Dr Jeep" - the latter two having not been played since 1990. Oh and the absence of "Ribbons". Jeez I missed that one alot!
There were no brand new songs played but apparently a newie was aired during the soundcheck. Perhaps it will appear later on in the tour...?
Incredibly they managed to fill the 6,000 capacity venue, although the audience seemed a little subdued.
Von had very little to say during the gig (first night nerves perhaps?)
There were some sound problems, thought to be due to the absence of their usual soundman Jurgen. Hopefully things will get sorted out for tonight's gig....

Sadly, after travelling all the way to Amsterdam,
I never made it to the gig. I was derailed by a space cake
and spent a large part of Sunday night with a far closer
view of the sink in my hotel room and the contents of my
stomach than I would have liked!
Might have been the antibiotics, might have been the Red
Bull and vodka chaser...
Stupid is indeed as stupid does!
Worst still, my wife refused to go without me - I was taking her to see
the Sisters for the first time - you can't buy loyalty like that!
Thankfully there's enough of our Euros left to change back
to take her to the Glasgow gig before I travel on to the two Leeds dates and the Smurphs.
So all is not lost - hey I've seen them sixteen times already.
A lesson learned the hard way will probably not be so easily
forgotten!
From the reviews it doesn't sound like I missed anything too spectacular...
