Dr Jeep tin

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hi

New to the board etc. I've done a search and can't find anything on this.

I read ages ago on a website (can't remember which one) that there was an edition of Dr Jeep (either 7" or CD I think) in a tin. The site claimed it was the rarest SOM release. I've never seen anything about it anywhere else. Does anyone know if it really exists?

bollocks. Not an official release. the single came in 7", 12", CD, cassette, and 12"-remix-with-poster-and-other-dodgy-bsides form. No doubt there were promo 1 track CD's and VHS tapes and 10"s you could only buy in Bulgaria on 22 October 1990 between 4.34 and 6.18pm, but I'm not aware of them.

Thanks for the info everyone. I can stop looking for it now! Although I may be interested in the tupperware boxed set. How much are you asking?

Foolish child - you can't stratch tupperware. Only vinyl.

Tupperware is no match for the diabolical staining properties of tomato-based foods. Muahahahahaha!

you have one don't you Taylor? any chance of up loading a pic?

You told me many moons ago that it was intended to be a limited edition version of the 7", but was never put into production, so only a few test-copies were done. Shame if it is a fake. How much did you pay for it?

That's what I was told too... I've seen the tin box once, was pretty impressed, but have never seen one since. Cool thing!
