Black man or white woman?

Well, he's almost black, and I'm sure she was a woman once. Or is it enough to make you vote Republican?

Not funny, man. I'll take either one of 'em over the embarrassing nightmare we've had here for so many years now, ffs. :von:

Am I missing something?

I'm going to assume this thread is about either Michael Jackson or Old Greg.

It's about the US election, how the Democrat candidates are Barack Obama (black male) and Hilary Clinton (white female).

Personally, I'd love to see an even more extreme turn of events. I want the next Pope to be a teenage Rastafarian lesbian.

 :notworthy:  Don't knock it 'til you've tried it, Korin!

Personally, I am shamelessly enjoying this, it's the most optimistic I've felt about American politics for a good while (despite the irritating hysteria that seems to be a hallmark of the way these contests are conducted in the US - would you stop that f**king cheering after every word they speak FFS!). I'm just delighted that the Democrats are - currently at least - appearing such a shoo in. The lame-duckyness of Bush now restores my faith in the American public somewhat (not to say I ever actually had any).

As for which candidate, I've been wavering. My intital feeling was that either the first black man or the first woman would be a Good Thing... then I saw Hilary doing that bad crying in an attempt to show the idiotically inclined that she really was feminine and caring and all that bollocks, since apparently there's still something scary and inhuman about a powerful and career-driven woman that numptys still just don't trust. So I went over to Obama, I found his style preferable (and he seemed less reliant of slagging the opposite camp off).
Then I started to get irritated that the media appeared to be seeing his success as so much more positive than Hilary's, and it does make me wonder where the greatest prejudice lies these days - do we (and the Americans) have more trouble with a female president than a black one? Is it considered more acceptable to have "issues" with a woman in power than an African American? I think it is, so I have gone back to Clinton.

Anyone who votes for idiotic candidates is part of the problem and downright GUILTY for the way things are.

The only morally viable option for Americans is to refuse to vote to crooked candidates, create a revolution as their constitution advices, and start over.

The country needs a hell of a lot more than just a change of the moronic figurehead. Even an honest president, like say Cynthia McKinney, wouldn't be able to do any real changes. They'd still have a criminal court system, a criminal education system, a criminal press & media, criminal corporations, a criminal senate, a criminal congress, a criminal military, and a horde of idiotic dumbed down citizens for human beings. Not that we have things much better in Europe...just a little better.

Well, at least possibly vote fraud is the best thing to happen to the JUSA in a long time, haha.

No sides, but it is all about money and backing - no candidate can afford the kind of campaigns required without serious corporate bucks behind them.
And with that backing come some serious deals behind the scenes..

Same as it ever was, just hope the spin on each of the sides kids nobody

i'd like the next president of the united states to be a god-botherering power-hungry, megalomaniac; who appreciates being in charge a total-extinction-potential arsenal of WMD's and simply can't wait to stamp their impression on a waiting world.

so any of them will do.
