When I was a kid I went to see Jaws at Liverpool's largest screen the Abbey ( sadly now a Somerfield) and it scared the beejesus out of me, to this day I've only been in the sea a hand full of times.

But sheriff Martin Brody was an instant hero - he was the chief of Police 'He can do what he likes' !

I didn't give a flying Feck when Heather Ledger bought the farm through his own stupidity - but this is a real loss of a real actor , taken from us from by the Big C- Rest in Peace Roy x

Aye. I was thinking of dedicating a thread to him last night when I'd learned that sad news; instead, I ended up posting in the CBEPB thread... I should've just gone with my instincts. :|

The guy will always be a legend.

Strange, I watched Jaws (for the squillionth time) on Sat night & watched Jaws 2 last night. Woke up to read he'd passed away.

He was Dr. Heywood Floyd to me, from 2010. Really liked him in that role, and was really impressed when I saw Jaws...er, last year. Finally.

A commendable actor, one I'll miss.
