Original Killing Joke reformed

Message on MySpace last night, Jaz, Geordie, Big Paul & Youth are doing a world tour later this year. It'll be 2 nights in each city, the first night covering the first 2 albums, the second one Pandemonium (strange choice I thought as Big Paul isn't on that one as far as I remember). Only UK show was London, venue TBC.

I'm doing this memory cos I can't access MySpace at work, but pretty sure the gigs are in December.

I am stoked about this, the London shows are in October at the Forum. Geoff Dugmore plays drums on Pandemonium. I agree strange choice but I think its more out of respect to Raven than anything else

"Finally, after numerous line-up changes through the years, all original Killing Joke members reunite for new album and world tour.

Drummer Paul Ferguson rejoins the line up for the first time since 1987 enabling a whole new generation of fans to see Killing Joke’s legendary original formation. Diehard fans have been waiting for this moment for two decades!

Bassist, Martin ‘Youth’ Glover also steps back into the live arena after a near 15 hiatus, having not played live with Killing Joke since 1994’s Pandemonium tour.

The tour will see Killing Joke take up a two night residency in most venues offering a different set on each evening. On the first night, they will play their first two albums in their entirety, 1980’s self-titled album followed by the album ‘What’s This…For!’. Their second performance in each city will treat fans to 1994’s Pandemonium and the Island Records singles of ’79 to ’80.

Gods of post- punk and metal, Killing Joke return with their eagerly anticipated new album to coincide with their world tour. Album release date TBC"

Snap.

Pandemonium is a surprising choice, but the thought of Big Paul F drumming Millenium is *censored* 8)

Apparently, original drummer "Alex Ferguson" will be playing with the band as well!!!

Maybe Fergie's "hairdryer" half time team talks could finally be a match for Jaz's temper.
