Given that he's already blamed them for:

Marathon changing its name to Snickers
The lack of whooping blackcurrants on the Ribena ads
The demise of the Quatro soft drink
The cancellation of The Knock
The lack of a third season of This Life

I shouldn't be at all surprised. I do love that that grasping little counter-jumper is repeatedly rebuffed when he tries to get a British passport - for those of us who jumped through serious hoops to become British (my mum has threatened me with maiming and worse if I ever lose the certificate that confirms the Registration of a Stateless Person as a British Citizen) the idea that Al Fayed could simply buy himself in would stick in my craw just a little.

Given that the British Secret Service couldn't even prevent David Shayler from going rogue (and he now apparently believes he's Jesus) I think Mo Fayed has an inflated view of their capabilities.
