DARK HORIZON: "Gold, Blood & Glory" - Featurin

At Christmas I recorded some vocals for a collaborative project called "Dark Horizon" made up of some local "musicians".
Turns out the EP is 99% complete and will be released (sort of)* on Black Heat Records shortly! :D
Dark Horizon Info wrote:Dark Horizon is the electronic brainchild of Rory Eastwood and John Skinner. The amateur musicians joined forces in the summer of 2007 and wrote some simple electronic instrumentals (recruiting local singer Alison Reed to perform vocals on one song). These recordings were initially forgotten about but in December of the same year Eastwood and Skinner got together again and wrote some more songs. With the aid of Robert Cowlin (The Mumbles, vocals), Alison Reed (returning once again to lend her voice to one song) and plenty of free samples they completed the songs and will be releasing them as an EP entitled, "Gold Blood And Glory" within the next few months.

The EP will be released by Black Heat Records (an independent label featuring The Mumbles, Legion and Sunlight Machine) and will contain the following tracks (a release date will be announced shortly):
TAKE IT AWAY
COLD OBLIVION
DESERT SONG
ELECTRIC VENOM
DAY
GOLD, BLOOD & GLORY.

If you’d like some more information on this release feel free to contact us via MySpace. We’ll be updating this page shortly with some samples from the new EP.
*The others see this as more a project to practise various ideas on so the EP is more of a compilation rather than a single body of work. They also weren't that interested in releasing it but I thought seeing as The Mumbles are on Black Heat and I'm in The Mumbles then we might as well give Dark Horizon some promotion via Black Heat.
Some hard copies will be pressed but not on the same scale as "The Wire". It's more likely to be a download jobbie.

Other than that, if you'd like to listen to a couple of samples then please visit the site: www.myspace.com/darkhorizonofficial and tell us what you think.

I'll update this thread with more info as I get it :).

I know I've been away for a while, but when did Heartland turn into a commercial radio station? I always thought of it more as a public service. Lars would turn in his grave...
