Stone Temple Pilots

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Saw their show in Columbus, OH

Although they were good, SW did remind me of Johnny Depp in the "Pirates" movies

Stone Temple Pearl Garden? Always bored me to tears. Utterly derivative. I have no idea how they ever got successful.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Po-faced self-righteously serious 90s American rock band in bizzarely-incomprehensible three-word-name shock!

Does the vocalist get chased by moose during mating season, I wonder?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

His voice, not his looks, Sinnie.

Or I may be getting them mixed up with Pearl Jam. But then again, I always got them mixed up with Pearl Jam... ;D

Ditto. I still have my purple/grey/black/white ombre-plaid flannel shirt somewhere around here... ;) :innocent:

Though I liked Nirvana, AIC, and Pearl Jam back then (plus a few STP tunes, etc.), my fave band of the bunch was/has always been Soundgarden... \m/ :von:

I almost commented on your little goof, IZ, but thought better of it - and then you deleted it! :P
