Hi all! This weekend we want to sort out & organize our Sisters' collection and we need a wee bit of help. If someone would be so kind as to answer a question that we've had for years, it would be most appreciated! It has to do with numbering on various boots. Most are easy...143/500...for example. However, some will have 3 letters/3letters or ^number^/500 for example. If someone could translate, it would be a big help! Thank you!!!

Hi! Maybe I should have been more specific.
I have one that says it's a limited edition: GTP/GPA and another that says it is ^3^/500. They're the 2 we can't figure out. Thanks guys!

because there are several pressing of each titles
usually 500 or 1000 batch every titles
for i.e the single you mentioned is as follow
sister ray/gimme gimme gimme 7 inch first pressing with blank label, more definite clear sleeve, numbered on back with white ink (600 copies)
sister ray/gimme gimme gimme 7 inch 2nd pressing copied sleeve, blue plain label, silver number on back sleeve (1000 copies), some unnumbered
sister ray/gimme gimme gimme 7 inch 3nd pressing copied sleeve, white label with 1 & 2 printed on, not numbered (unknow pressing, near 1000)

Isn't this usually titled simply as 'Live' in the discogs? The first issue came out in 1984 - a very early bootleg; reissues appeared in 1987.
