SISTERS for the USA Fall 08

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

If they play New York while I'm in Egypt there is one short old bald geezer with a deep voice who is going to get such a tw@ting when I get my hands on him...

There's a place for you on my sofa if you're coming down for the gig, though, babe 8)

That is, if there is indeed a gig, of course.

...and you're on, man. \m/ :von: :notworthy:

it's all wishfull thinking..

honestly.. don't think they will cross the pond this year.. they did 20 shows there only 2 years ago..

if they would go to the states, seeing what it would cost to ship equipment and stuff.. it would be for at least 10 gigs.. and if that were the case, they would have announced a lot more european gigs by now aswell..

no, my friends.. they are doing stuff in the studio i tells ya.. what stuff, god knows.. but they are doing stuff.. lol
i don't sleep, so i don't dream, so i don't wake up frightened...
everything is what it seems, if you look hard enough tonight and see...

Ben is also the guitarist with Claytown Troupe who were supposed to be playing the Camden Underworld on the 29th October, they are looking to move this gig forward by a week as Ben is "playing in the USA with the SISTERS"

Bloody hell! Nowt on Ben's myspace page yet. Not sure Von would be too happy with something being accidently announced elsewhere either! Ben might get a telling off for it. Interested one to keep an eye on though innit...

Not if they play Brazil or Argentina. Project Pitchfork are playing there in October. So if there's anything to this rumour, they either have found a new sound man or their dates will be around the Pitchfork dates, and probably around the Pitchfork shows area.

I would have preferred the new soundman option....

However, I like the idea of gigs on that side of the pond...

So we're potentially looking at the last two weeks in October, then. Hmmm - no vacation planned for then, nothing I can't blow off to take the following day as a sickie...

Big Apple Massive indeed...
