Arts ? Y' Arse..Part 2.. The Turner Prize.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Jesus H Tap Dancing Christ. I'm so glad and honored to announce that I am by far the most ignorant man on God's green Earth when it comes to every aspect of art. From Dada and Impressionism to a glass of water on a shelf.. It's all s**t to me. But once a year, some how this stuff is put in the broadsheets and people are given thousands of pounds for what looks like a pissed blind midget students flat on any given week day..

Right I'm off to draw some stick figures and rub creosote on my dishes and have Megan Fox bound and gagged in my living room dressed in nothing but a coal miners hat..What ? Hey it's art darling!!

Once again, it's the particular style of Conceptual Art that's prevalent in western galleries. Blame Nicholas Serota and the rest of the small band who like this particular style of artwork (and happen to be the directors of big galleries).

You might want to go here. I'm not sure Stuckism is the answer (they seem as dogmatic and blinkered as the conceptual artists) but it's an alternative.

Looks more like a load of sh-t to me. ;D
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Actually, the artist has done something very clever here. Even when someone says it's s**t, they can just say, "Exactly! Mannequin Taking A s**t" They've made themselves immune to all the criticism that will be deservedly heaped on them.

I'm off to sell the contents of my rubbish bin.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

Art is like religion and politics. It's far too personal a thing to be debated.

I still think it's funny that when Rachel Whiteread won the Turner Prize (£20K cash for the best British contemporary artist) she also won the K Foundation art award -- £40K cash for the worst British contemporary artist.

I'm sure most here won't need telling who the K Foundation are.

Nothing special to see there. Just a regular set of buttocks, well kept, no stains, crusts or eczema. Who would pay for that? :(
