LA indie artist rips off Sisterhood song "Giving Ground

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Check it out if you don't believe me.

If David Bowie can sue Vanilla Ice....this Grey Kid needs a wake up call from Andrew. (Even though Grey Kid's cover of Timberlake's 'Sexy Back' song (Paxilback), was pretty funny and well done.)

GreyKid's fans were born after the 80's...They wouldn't know the Sisterhood if Andrew personally steel-toe booted them in the face.

Sigh. *shakes middle-aged goth fist*

Oh, welcome by the way Kuroneko!

And tho I see the blatant rip-off, maybe he legally used the sample.

A lot of R&B'ers and hiphoppers are willing to pay for well-known samples (Timbaland, EMINEM,...) to use them in their repertoire. Tho calling Giving Ground 'well-known' is stretching it a bit ;)

Anyway, I kinda like this new take... it sounds kinda fresh. Tho very VERY loud :|

Do you think Eldo gives a f**k about this mp3-artist? Only if the Wembley Arena winks, Eldo crawls out the cave.

Bye the way, who needs a call?
Von removed producer John Ashton kindly fom the sleeve of the Alice-single (according to the Furs biography Beautiful Chaos) and ripped the Furs' chorus (that guitar part) of Alice's House for This Corrosion.

And all the grey kid needs is a good producer, further on it's not that bad. I prefer hiphop instead of pale goth s**t. And know what? I can also imagine it's... a coincedence.

I've heard worse. I should have done it myself.
In fact, I might.

trunk-wobbling anthems and ballads of love and lust
Am I the only one who thinks Von might approve?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

it doesn't sound like a sample to me- just a plain rip-off. however, as has been said, hip-hop exists on the back of other people's music. still don't like it.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
