this is what one looks like, if you are interested.

this is from rock city 2006, so that "still" is the first time it was played out.

tried to upload the actual-sized image to HL photo gallery but it was too big? :?:

amazes me it didn't just say "click mouse, nick off for a fag and a drink, come back 70mins later, wait... then click mouse again"

Nice to see the BPM down the right hand side. Proof that the doctor has a MIDI heart, and can be sped up or slowed down at will.

a 'Von' still equals a "smell" to me, it alas seemed to be a bad smell aswell, The Sisters Of Mercy as rock band hadn't been invented yet but A Clockwork Orange was too cool to ignore.

In hindsight ACW isn't a very good movie, stylish and very much of it's period but very badly filmed and recorded, still way better than the book - so that's a triumph. innit?

BPM's set manual??? What a craftmanship!

i don't think the figures at the end of each cue can be BPM- this corrosion isn't 207 BPM for starters. i think they're the amount of bars left after nurse has cued in all the different sequences until he stops them (at teh end of the song.) that would explain there is no tempo indicated for romeo and why there is no length-in-bars as "von stops bass" .

though it might as well be chinese if i'm wrong.

so you think it's just a kind of time code? Telling to stand up, be ready to load next sound file.

yep. just counted through crash and burn from this gig: 129 bars.

the 1>8^ at the beginning is intro bars before both guitars have joined in. try it for yourselves.

similarly, summer's intro is 6bars played through twice= 2>6^

it would be nice if the very friendly mr denbigh would post a little guide (if i'm wrong).

Mouse click, James? It suprises me that Nurse doesn't tap his fingers on a drum pad in the right tempo. They're more high tech than supposed.

He is busy now, I don't think he will come back to us today, but I am sure he will do so after the tour

let's not forget that the nurses job isn't supposed to be difficult or sophisticated. the drums are done by a drum machine , a mechanical alternative to a human drummer, that uses pre-programmed drum patterns. and which- regardless of technological advances, (just like in the old days when eldritch or marx would press stop/start themselves), only needs the nurse to switch it on and off.

robobreezers -that's mr. catalyst to you- blatantly told us that the band were keeping one eye on this forum during the last tour...and si denbigh has always seemed more than happy to interact with his fans.

you'll be telling me you haven't sussed which HLer is eldritch next....

Nah, you're right. Flood I certainly isn't 198 bpm! Dominion isn't 145 either. Alice is a fair bit faster than 125. (I play it at 152 myself...) They make sense as length. Though Ribbons, Something Fast, TOL, seem like BPM t a cursory glance. I think you're right here.
