Hey I am so happy, and looking forward to the European shows, new songs (probably in soundcheck) and a very living setlist, what I expect more?!

Totally AWESOME show, this is the 3rd time Ive seen them and this show totally rocked!
I was lucky enough to be in the front row, right in front of Andrew. I got 3 tshirts and a hoodie, the merch guy probably thought I had issues when I informed him I would take one of each....lol.
After the gig they (Hypernova & Sisters) came to Donavans Pub...simply amazing!!!
More details when Im less excited....lol!

Floorshow was updated with a phantom feel to it Von only sang half the words. Ill listen to it on the plane to Denver and then try to put down more. After Vision thing we got "No more years" and "Dont ever let that happen again." There was more but im too tired. Nice to meet Brad and everyone else, not so much the head of the pegan cult that tried to get me to join though. Strange night by all accounts, but sooooooo good!

So no one is asking the important question.
Did anyone play bass in Floorshow?

Do we realize that great things happened indeed this tour: Afterhours, Marian, Floorshow, Romeo Down, Never Land, Amphetamine Logic, a lot of Von chat - i like it.

Picked up my Dominion mail before I logged on here...it was a nigh-unto-orgasmic moment reading that entry in the setlist
What's the consensus on the improvement in the sound? I know First Ave is (for a bus station
) pretty reliable in that regard, but ultimately it
is down to whoever's running the board. Has there just been too much variation in venues? Or have they finally hit their stride? Or is it a total crapshoot? (It's
always a crapshoot of course, but I'm compulsive about trying to impose order on the chaos of the cosmos...
)

Back home from the long drive to Minneapolis. I need sleep.
But first things first.
The bad news is my recording did not work.
Let's leave it at that. Not a happy guy today. I did manage to get Hypernova and it sounded great which only reminds me how great The Sisters show would have sounded to share since the sound was fantastic.
Regarding the sound, they have allegedly placed two vocal monitors at the front facing the crowd to accent Von's vocals. Obviously a smart decision and payed off in spades last night.
Other random thoughts:
- no acoustic guitars this time. Chris just keeps playing his Iceman and uses a chorus/flanger on Flood II and Something Fast.
- perhaps some football enthusiasts can tell me about the scarves Chris and Von are sporting. Chris has a blue scarf that says something I can't recall at this moment, and Von dressed in black, and an orange scarf tied to his waist. He also had a silver star on his collar (not the logo though).
- the Nurse was "warming up" before the show playing some beats sounding like a real drummer. I think four of us got the joke.
- before The Sisters came on, First Avenue has a large drop down screen at the front which was showing a badly dubbed Japanese film. We all want to know how it ends.
- all the girly tops are sold out and so are the small new shirts.
- security was none existant at First Avenue. I could've brought a film crew. Hence my frustration with my non-existant recording.
- the crowd was packed and surprisingly into it from the start. Some usual dodgy darklings but a good crowd overall.
- Ben stood in the front row with us to watch Hypernova. I think the same four of us were the only ones who knew who he was.
- Floorshow begins with one of the guitarists playing the riff from Phantom as well.

Sounds fantastic, and gutted to hear about your recording. Aside from our own selfish wishes, it would have made a great souvenir for yourself.
Me wonders - should "Phantom" now be removed from the "songs never played live" list? After all, the beats and riff is really all there is to it, so maybe it counts as a "really really really short" version?
