The Sisters Of Mercy @ Leeds Museum

It's true! Deep in the music archives are copies of FALAA, Floodland and Vision Thing with the following write-up;
"1987-2006, The Sisters Of Mercy who formed in Leeds in 1980. The name is taken from a Lenoard Cohen song."
I'd insert a photo but just can't sem to be able to do it. Still
I'll gladly forward on to Someone That Can.
[edit by qb:]the aforementioned photos is now in the image gallery

Apparently nothing happened between 1980 & 1987. Sounds familiar.

It's the "2006" that worries me
Yes, Leeds has a museum. It opened a couple of months ago more-or-less opposite Millenium Square, featuring none other than the skeleton of the Armley Hippo

Tiger, panda, polar bear, jaguar, birds etc. and the skeleton of a
huge elk - all sorts. We took the young 'un and she loved it - I'd recommend (if nowt else, it's
free).

They should stick Leeds United in. Knocked out of the FA by a postman. Craig must have drowned a few after that in sorrow.

Now that you mention it:
Implying the rate of updates the Leeds based homepage of the Sisters receives is due to local habits, that could have been a news board perhaps?

And thanks for all the Leeds United jokes.

Perhaps Leed Museum should commission an oral history on the Leeds music scene in the 80s, before all the old goths die!
