We now have a Youtube channel. One short clip posted from Oakland Ca. Dominion with a guest vocalist Nikki helping us out that night on Dominion. More vids soon. We're finally up and rolling now.

We're working on better vid and sound. This show was somewhat of a cluster f**k with the sound. Someone took that vid from a cam. Last fridays show was a major improvement from the previous so we'll have vid on that hopefully by the end of the week

Not to mention any thread in the Sisters forum with 'Reptile House' in the subject line gets everyone all excited, and then... :(

See UK thread in the Tour forum for further explication...

Me casa su casa.. whatever - thanks for uploading the soundboard sourced clips. It still sounds very close to the (earlier) original - great tribute :!:

What's the next step - buying some smoke machines and lightning?

Heh,
*linguistically* I understand, I just wasn't sure why Ozpat had a preference.

Many thanks for the thumbs up.
We're trying our best.

as per my comment posted thereon:
have to not watch i'm afraid- non-anorexic and comfy-relaxed band members just seems weird! but it doesn't sound that bad...although dominions drum-beat is too iconic (and easy to reproduce) for it to be so unforgiveably wrong here!?! 6/10

Unforgivably wrong? Wow! I'll make sure we consult with you next time, before we program any beats!

We are a tribute band people. We are not the Sisters....We do this for fun and to honor them. I suppose by posting ourselves here on the forum we are opening ourselves up for critizism.....Maybe your wording is what irked me this morning. Maybe I need more coffee.!!!

i had no intention of being irksome and was simply giving my opinion -which in all fairnessx was constructive beyond my normal wont....maybe you have misunderstood some of the words -it must be terribly confusing dealing with us english when we will insist on using the language as it should be used. i'll simplify for you: if the drum beat isn't spot-on it automatically becomes an interpretation. all well and good but then you may as well have a female soprano on main vocals and a hammond organ instead of the gittars.
tribute acts are cheap(er)-in varying degrees- imitations of the original; surely the "best" ones are the ones who sound most like the band they are emulating? hence my pointr that such an instantly recognisable yet highly simplistic drum-beat sholud be nothing less than exact -especially when it's a drum-machine thats playing it. :von:

Ah, the coffee has kicked in! No problem in your english, I have many friends who reside on your side of the pond. At any rate your point is well taken, and understood. The video in question was our second ever show. One reason we do this beside just putting it out there is to critique ourselves as well to adjust things and to improve. Next time we have a show and get a better audio /video recording I'll going to post the results. I understand we're not going to be every Sisters fans cup of tea.

Non Anorexic!
HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Well, these things happen when you stop putting your "face on the mirror" some 20 plus years ago.

I'm curious as to what you think is so "unforgiveably wrong" with the drumbeat?
I'm primarily a drummer and I've gone to great lengths to make sure that the beats in our versions of these songs are correct.

you don't have to be classically trained in drums and percussion for 26 years (as i am) to be able to tell that it is not the same. therefore it is wrong. as in not right. :von:

You didn't really answer the question, did you?

I'm pretty sure that I know what you're objecting to, but it be nice if you could be bothered to actually *mention* it here, so that I'm not forced to exercise my powers of telepathy. ;)

Surely, being the Sisters fan that you are, you own the *single* version of Dominion.

Listen to it again.
The mix is slightly different and the snare more prominent.

I've been listening to the song since it's release and was a bit surprised myself (when actually going in to program it) to hear something in the beat that I'd never really heard before.

Perhaps then we can put your mind once and for all at ease in regards to my drum programming skills. :von:

it's not the prominence of the snare, simply that there is an extra snare beat on yours that shouldn't be there.
whereas the correct beat is "dum de-duh tchah dum, dum-de tchah"
yours seems to go "dum de-duh tchah-tchah, dum-de tchah".
is all.

That's what I thought you were talking about.

And, you are correct that there is a *tchah-tchah* in ours, as there is in theirs.

As I mentioned in my last post, listen to the Single version where the snare isn't as saturated with reverb and you'll hear it for yourself.
And then you'll hear it on the Album version as well.
